Having been introduced by Timothy Armstrong, AOL’s chief executive, Ms. Thomas joined with Ms. Conlon in early 2011. Ms. Conlon said the Ad Council had long wanted to tackle bullying but needed to cover the production and distribution costs, which average $800,000 to $1 million per campaign.

The Ad Council got support from the pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson and pro bono help from the New York ad agency DDB, part of the Omnicom Group.

Back to school, back to work gearing down for the coming Months! Yes the elections are only two months away and are you sick of the publicity already or are you looking for more? We are living in very uneasy times and we need to pull together! Government needs to be seen and not heard as my father use to say! There comes a time when government involvement is good and then not so good! I was speaking to a group the other night and the question on everyone’s mind was “Who are you favoring in this years election”? There was one gentleman in the crowd who seems to get it and understand where the problems are…..”What are the most expensive programs in the United States”? he asked, no one could answer this question. He said government programs was the answer. Medical programs and insurance as long as it remained in government’s hands it will always continue to drain the funds helping to make the deficit even larger. “It needs to become back in the patients hands and control. This way folks would be able to DECIDE what procedures they were willing to have because they may or not be able to afford one procedure over another. This was needing to become the first consideration in deciding whether the procedure needed to be done or not. It was not already decided for because of what was paid for and what was not. Insurance companies, need to pay the patient for services rendered and the patients need to be responsible to pay their Doctors, hospitals etc. With this thought everyone just sat in awe listening with intense focus. ”It use to be what my insurance did years ago, when I had something done, a procedure, or test, the insurance company sent me the check, then I paid for the service.”

Is this the secret? Does control need to come back to the folks control? Will Medical costs come down a bit, or??

Russell Dohner, Illinois Doctor, Charges Patients $5 For Entire Physician Visit.

While the rest of the country awaits the Supreme Court’s decision on the Affordable Care Act and the future of health care costs, the residents of Rushville, Ill., are less worried about the cost of a visit to the doctor.

Russell Dohner, the town’s doctor since 1955, charges his patients just $5 – not for a co-pay but for the entire cost of a physician’s visit, according to KSDK News. The low price isn’t the only thing at Dohner’s office that’s remained constant for decades. The office hasn’t been remodeled, nurses haven’t been replaced and staff members haven’t ditched their old-school method of writing medical records on index cards in favor of more modern technology.

Considered a local hero, the 87-year-old Dohner keeps his clinic open seven days a week. In 57 years of practicing medicine, he’s never taken a vacation, KSDK News reports.

The $5 physician visit charge has been in place since the 1970s. Before that, he charged $2 per visit.

Holidays are Here…Remember the Less Fortunate! Pay It Forward…We at AddALinkOfCharm are in a position to continue this program because of our wonderful customer pool! In 2005 We had a customer at Christmas order 3 medical alert bracelets. They asked us to send them two and they asked us to donate the other. “Can you find someone that really needs a medical alert bracelet who just cannot afford one?” Myself and our staff just did not know what to do with this wonderful contribution at First! Just how do we pick the deserving individual, how can we ask the right questions without being over bearing as well as the privacy acts had been in full motion and just really getting these regulations and laws were just getting going! Remember this was 6 years ago now!

Well this is where it all started. We are proud to announce that this coming year 2012 will be the 6th year we now have done this program! The staff and myself came up with an with an additional incentive to obtain supporters this coming year! We are going to introduce a plan to do like a punch card system. As folks donate they can choose to receive a special gift to give to that months lucky recipient of an Medical Alert Bracelet! There is going to be a 3 level punch card system. In turn we at AddALinkofCharm will continue to match the donations 100%. We are hoping that this will enable us to increase the number of bracelets that we have been giving away each and every month to 5 instead of 4.
